Our educational materials will also focus on bird species and the nesting habitats provided by Olt River. Our field trip was an opportunity to identify them. The greatest delight was to witness great cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo) flying in a V-shape formation. Among other species, we also identified the great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) and the grey heron (Ardea cinerea). At this time of year, the area is filled with birds and the students will be thrilled to watch and photograph them.
