"One photo says more than thousand of words"

The main goal of the project called "One photo says more than thousand of words" is to show general public, that quarries are not only  scars in landscape, but it can pose various habitats with harmonious scenery, dominantly if we compare it with artificial monocultures.

Our team consists from students and professors from Mendel University in Brno. The head of the project is Ing. Hana Cihlářová. She is a student of PhD. degree at the department of geology and pedology. She has been dealing with an issue of spontaneous succession and restoration ecology for several years. This competition brings her unique chance to try to make this issue closer to general public, which is finally very important element for decision making.

Doc. Mgr. Jindřich Kynický  PhD. is a teacher and scientist at the department of geology and pedology. He is dealing with an issue of geology, mining and environmental aspects of mining.

Ing. Martin Brtnický is a teacher and scientist at the department of pedology. He is a guarantor of the project called “Degradation and regeneration of landscape” and cooperates with many scientists of this field.  Ing. Jan Hladký Ph.D. and Bc. Pavlína Ambrožová are students of Ing. Martin Brtnický.
