Precision First: Drone calibration before seeding
Before the first seed hit the soil, we ensured precision in every drop.
Calibration was a crucial step in our restoration project. The DJI Agras T40 was carefully set to optimize seeding altitude, speed, and flow rate — because in aerial restoration, accuracy = success.
We tested five altitudes (2m, 4m, 6m, 8m, 10m) to observe their effect on germination.
Calibration helped us control seed distribution patterns, ensuring uniform spread across bunds.
Wind direction, drone speed, and nozzle flow were all fine-tuned for minimal wastage and maximum soil contact.
This process wasn’t just technical — it was strategic. Proper calibration meant less seed loss, better germination, and higher restoration efficiency.
Because with drones, even nature needs fine-tuning.
