The second judges visit

Yesterday I hosted three of the QuarryLife judges for my second judges visit. Just like the last visit I gave a presentation about my work and we had a really interesting discussion. I could talk about limestone pavements for many hours if I am allowed so it was great to have such an interesting discussion about pavements and their conservation. After that we went up to the site to look at the experimental site. When I hosted the first set of judges the experiment had only just been set up but this time it has been running for over a month so it was nice to be able to show the visible differences between the experimental plots. The beautiful views and the wonderful pavement vegetation gave us lots to admire and it was great to be able to answer questions and share my passion for this experiment. Thanks as always to the fantastic staff at Horton Quarry who very patiently drive us around, we had a delicious lunch and lots more discussion bring an end to a great morning.
