Investigation of soil biodiversity in Saskhori Quarry with participation of local school pupils

Collecting soil and litter samples

The second field trip took place on 22.02.2022. Our research team collected litter and soil samples, as well as contents from pitfall traps. At the lab, invertebrates were separated from the samples using Barlese and Winkler’s extractors. Separated invertebrates were kept in 70% and 96% ethyl alcohol for later investigations.
