Project submissions for 6th Edition closed

The project proposal phase for the 6th Edition of the Quarry Life Award is closing in November 2024. Participants from around the globe have been submitting their innovative project proposals, aiming to contribute to biodiversity, nature conservation as well as connecting quarries to the neighbouring communities. In the 15 participating countries of this edition, we received more than 80 project submissions.

As the registration phase concludes, the next step involves the judges meticulously evaluating all submissions to select the official contestants for the 2025 competition year. The selected proposals will enter the research phase, marking an exciting milestone for all participants. The competition comprises two streams at a national level and six categories in the international awards. These range from community focused through to scientific research on nature based solutions, species and habitat conservation.

Additionally, the announcement of the international jury members is eagerly anticipated and will be revealed at the beginning of 2025. This esteemed panel will assess the projects and determine the international winners.

Stay tuned for the final project selection and the announcement of the international jury members!
