The Quarry Life Award is a scientific and education contest proposed by Heidelberg Materials and its subsidiaries. The contest aims at raising the awareness of the biodiversity value of quarrying sites and sharing new best practices with the scientific community, NGOs, authorities and Heidelberg Materials‘ operating units. The Quarry Life Award aims at increasing the scientific understanding of the interaction between nature and quarries as well as contributing to global nature conservation goals in raising the awareness of the importance of biodiversity and bringing people closer to nature.
