🎯 PCR – the “copy machine” for the right genes
We’ve completed the DNA quality check — now it’s time for PCR.
Sounds complicated? Here’s the gist: we don’t need the whole DNA, only small segments called marker genes. They help us identify exactly who lives in our samples.
With special “tags” (primers), we find the right spot, and the machine copies it again and again. After about 30 cycles, there are millions of copies of that one gene — pure and ready for sequencing.
It’s like taking a huge “book” of DNA and copying just the one page we care about. 📖✨
