GREEN MANAGEMENT FOR THE PROTECTION OF SPECIES DIVERSITY AND HABITAT IN THE MALNAŞ QUARRY
The proposed project aims at a broad analysis of biodiversity and ecosystems in the Malnaș Quarry area, focusing on taxonomic, ecological and ecological rehabilitation aspects. The first part of the research includes taxonomic and chorological studies to document the local flora, complemented by population analyzes to understand species structure and distribution. Particular attention will be paid to the identification of forest types and the establishment of the diversity and dynamics of the vegetation specific to the area.
Another important objective is the inventory of rare species of flora and the assessment of the anthropogenic impact on them, with the aim of proposing protection measures. Insect species will also be inventoried and studied, considering their adaptations to the specific conditions of a mining environment.
The project also includes the proposal of an ecological rehabilitation plan, which will take into account the existing vegetation types, to support the restoration and stabilization of the ecosystem. In addition to the research aspect, the project aims to involve the local community through an ecological education workshop for students, in order to sensitize and inform them about the importance of preserving local biodiversity and ecosystems affected by mining activities.
