QLA in The Czech Biological Community

Komparativní průzkum pískoven u Suchdolu nad Lužnicí za účelem stanovení optimální péče pro podporu biodiverzity / Comparative Survey of Sand Pits near Suchdol nad Lužnicí to Determine Optimal Management for Biodiversity Support

On Saturday, September 27, we had the opportunity to present our project and the QLA competition itself to gifted high school students at the biology event Fluorescenční noc (eng. "Fluorescent night"). This event, held under the umbrella of the Arachne association (arach.cz) at the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague (Viničná 7), is truly close to our team’s heart. A few years ago, as participants, we ourselves first learned about QLA here from our friends and decided to take part in the competition. At the event, we presented both the progress and preliminary results of our project as well as the competition itself, in order to reach out to and inspire other potential participants for future editions of the competition. Finally, we would also like to sincerely thank the organizers of "Fluorescent night" for giving us the chance to present, and we hope we succeeded in passing on the message of QLA.
