Plant identification at National Botanical Garden of Georgia (Tbilisi)

Plant identification by using Flora of Georgia and a microscope

We identified plant samples that we collected during our first expedition environs Saskhori limestone quarry and made a list of the species for each habitat. Also, studied the fruiting period of the species because our project also aims to collect plant seeds and store them at Caucasus Regional Seed bank, which exists in Plant Conservation Department of National Botanical Garden of Georgia. The bank is of international standards, has existed since 2001 that was founded with the involvement of a scientific group from the Missouri Botanical Garden of America.
