On 5 June we set out on the third expedition to the quarry. First we examined the lower storeys of the quarry, where we studied plants typical for rocky steppes. We also observed layers of slate in the massive walls of hard rock. Herbaceous plants are the first to take root in these layers. In the older walls we were able to see also some woody plants: Larix, Pinus and Rosa canina. In this way we proceeded to the upper storeys. There we documented further growth phases not only of the already registered plants, but also of some new ones, such as the purple Echium vulgare, Solanum dulcamara and the soft Campanula persicifolia. All this you can see in the photos.
