We first presented the context of the quarry life award and our education program to the school childrens.
Before the lesson started, we conducted a pre-test questionnaire that revealed their level of understanding and knowledge about biodiversity. In a participatory way, we defined biodiversity and emphasized on its importance for human nutrition, health, clothing etc. We then, helped the children to list the components of biodiversity that are in their immediate environment. At the end of the lesson, we also conducted a post test questionaire to assess their knowledge and attitudes toward biodiversity's components.
