Regeneration densities in non-reforested formations, (43.33 stems / ha for the 1 year old formation and 57.77 stems / ha for the 2 years old formation), regardless of the age of the formations are twice as low as for reforested formations (118.89 stems / ha). The high density of grasses of these formations evidently has hindered the expression of woody regeneration. This shows the importance of assisting the regeneration of woody species, especially species that are widely used by local populations.
In the non-reforested formations, the widely used woody species inventoried in regeneration are Azadirachta indica, Morinda lucida for the formation of 2 years old and Senna siamea for the 1 year old formation.
