BIRDS
The terrains of the Ruda Mineral Resources Quarry are diverse in terms of landforms. Due to the impact on the area of three villages: Ruda, Budziska and Turze, and in the valley of the Odra River, the area may become an oasis for many birds. Wetlands attract lapwings which, returning from their wintering grounds in February, need land with soft and nutritious ground. On the other hand, open areas, including areas adjacent to rural areas, attract hoopoes.

AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES
For observation and research we will use natural depressions of the terrain which form shallow water reservoirs. These places are usually used by amphibians, who need water during their existing. The most numerous species of herpetofauna in Poland include: crested newt, common newt, fire-bellied toad, common toad, green toad, tree frog, common frog, slow worm, sand lizard, and grass snake.

INSECTS
Helping pollinators and encouraging the people to undertake a variety of activities to raise awareness of their importance in the urban ecosystem is extremely important, but also very difficult. The most commonly known honey bee is only one of the representatives of the rich natural world, hiding an extraordinary wealth of species, varieties and shapes. Among the pollinators, it is worth mentioning unique insects, such as: red mason, red brick, red carpet, red callus, red bee, silkworm, bumblebees, red bumblebees.
