On the 18th of march we visited KSM Nowogród Bobrzański quarry to preform a survey of the project site.
In comparison with 2017, the site has changed due to ecological succession. A pond that was built several years ago, a spawning ground for amphibians, was partially overgrown with reeds and shaded by small trees. Stony habitats for sand lizards and ecological corridors were still intact, but in need of maintenance. While surveying we conducted our first work - we erected a heap of branches, leaves, and compost, that we had brought. This heap will serve as a good habitat for local amphibians and reptiles.
