On our first visit to Masters Quarry receptor site we were able to see five of the six native UK reptiles on site: the smooth snake, grass snake, adder, slow worm, and most importantly for us, the sand lizard. This was an excellent hands-on learning opportunity for the students as well as a great introduction to the site and the project.
